TENANT CHARGES

With the recent changes in Tenant Fees – Scott Castle will no longer be charging any tenant related fees with effect from 01 st June 2019.


Following a viewing, when an applicant decides they wish to proceed in applying for a property, a

holding payment up to the maximum of one weeks rent will be taken to reserve the property – this

payment will not exceed the value of one weeks rent and will be one payment per property not per

applicant.


Once a holding payment has been made – no further viewings will take place.


Scott Castle will then have 15 days to decide and confirm a move in date with the applicant.

Should the move in date exceed the 15 days – written confirmation will need to be signed by both

Scott Castle and all applicants confirming an agreed move in date.


Any holding payment taken will be deducted from the initial Moving in Costs (Rent In Advance) and a

breakdown will be provided with the application form.


For example:

Holding Payment - £125.00

Deposit - £550.00


Rent In Advance - £550.00 - The Holding payment will be deducted from this on Move In Day so in

this case it would be a total due of £975.00


Should we not proceed with the application – Scott Castle will return in full the Holding Payment

back to the applicant within 15 days of when payment was initially received, unless otherwise

agreed in writing
